Higher Education Opportunities
There are several opportunities for higher education available to Central Sands students. For those who want to begin earning college credit in their Junior and Senior years, there is the Early College Credit Program through the UW System and the Start College Now program through the Wisconsin Technical College System. Both of these programs give students a chance to experience a college class and earn college credits while still being supported by our Central Sands advisors and teaching staff. Students earn both college and high school credits for these courses. Many of our students take part in these programs each year.
For students interested in the trades, there is the opportunity to participate in the Youth Apprenticeship Program. We have also facilitated a variety of apprenticeship, work study, and certificate programs for our students when these opportunities have become available.
Central Sands is also part of the Direct Admission program at Mid-State Technical College. This means that all students who graduate from Central Sands are automatically admitted to Mid-State without the need for an application. Several of our graduates have taken advantage of this program.
